Joint demonstrator from Eaton and Bosch Rexroth at the SPS

Industrial automation is facing major challenges: Globalization, digitalization, increasing demands for sustainability and the need for resilient systems are forcing us to break new ground. Collaboration and open ecosystems are the key to meeting these challenges.

Eaton is therefore evaluating the integration of its products into the ctrlX OS Ecosystem. This means that Eaton's automation portfolio, including the Galileo visualization software, will be made compatible with existing ctrlX OS-based devices from various manufacturers. The connection is made via a new Data Connector for the ctrlX Data Layer, which ensures transparent and efficient data exchange. This integration will be demonstrated live for the first time at SPS. The customer feedback determines the next development steps. The aim is to enable seamless interaction between the systems and make the benefits of both worlds accessible to users.

Eaton customers would benefit from this partnership in several ways. They gain access to an expanded portfolio of compatible controllers, IPCs and servers and can therefore design their automation solutions more flexibly. The open architecture of ctrlX OS makes it possible to combine Eaton hardware and software with solutions from other manufacturers and thus respond optimally to individual requirements. Efficient data exchange via the ctrlX Data Layer enables processes to be optimized and system performance to be increased. Last but not least, Eaton customers would benefit from the future and investment security offered by an established and constantly evolving platform such as ctrlX OS.
