ctrlX OS Ecosystem live @ SPS2025
From November 25–27, 2025, SPS – Smart Production Solutions took place in Nuremberg, featuring a total of 1,175 exhibitors this year. At the world’s leading trade fair for the automation industry, we presented the latest innovations around the Linux-based operating system ctrlX OS. We also covered important topics such as cybersecurity. The high number of visitors underscores the relevance and innovative strength of the industry and sends a positive signal for the future. The positive feedback from visitors confirms that the topics we showcased are right on trend. Overall, we look back on a successful show and are already looking forward to working with the new contacts we made.
Visitors had the opportunity to experience the innovations of the Linux-based operating system ctrlX OS live: the new features and apps from the new Long Term Support (LTS) Release 3.6 could be tested on site. Another highlight was the virtualized edition of ctrlX OS. It provides users with a scalable solution that gives them the freedom to run applications exactly where they deliver the greatest value.
An open ecosystem thrives on co-creation and the strengths and innovations contributed by partners. That’s why we’re pleased that many partners from the ctrlX OS Ecosystem presented their solutions on site at the Bosch Rexroth booth.
Our portfolio was complemented by solutions from the following partners:
Cybersecurity also played an important role at the show, driven by the Cyber Resilience Act. Our operating system ctrlX OS is secure by design and already prepared for the CRA’s requirements. At our booth, we provided comprehensive information on cybersecurity, the associated challenges for machine builders, and possible solutions.
For everyone who couldn’t visit us in Nuremberg, we’ve compiled the highlights in our event video.
